• We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God and that it is our standard for faith and conduct.

  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that God made the universe, seen and unseen, with purpose and reason. That He is the creative mind behind matter.

  • We believe that human life is a gift of God and held up as sacred from womb to tomb, bearing the image of God.

  • We believe that every human has been totally injured by sin in nature and by choice and is in need of complete redemption.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, is truly God and truly human. And in the gospels we see him as Lord, Saviour, and Model.

  • We believe that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross was for the forgiveness of our sins and freedom from the Devil’s bondage.

  • We believe that all who put their faith in Jesus are forgiven their sins and granted life now in his eternal Kingdom.

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, as our greatest hope. We believe He ascended into Heaven, and acts as our great High Priest, praying for us.

  • We believe in the work of God the Holy Spirit in convicting people of sin, the regeneration of those turning to Christ from sin, and His work of sanctification in the believer.

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of all humanity, and that we will be judged by God for our sin. For those who have placed their faith in Christ, the everlasting joy of eternal life in the new heavens and new earth is given. For those who reject Christ the judgement of God rests on them and hell will be their destination.

  • We believe that marriage and sex is a sacred gift of God for the unity of husbands and wives and procreation.

  • We believe that gender is rooted in God’s creational order.

  • We believe in the gifts of the Spirit, given to all believers to be used in the church for the good of the church. (loosely defined in Love, Word, Power)

  • We believe in the personal, experiential, presence of God in his people.

  • We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ.

Distinctives for our Community:

  • We believe in baptism by immersion of believers.

  • We believe that the disciplines of our Faith are the ongoing place of transformation and encounter with Jesus. And that transformation is not only possible but expected.

  • We believe in the local church. We believe it is God’s idea for us to be part of the family of faith, and that we cannot be fully alive, living fully alone.

  • We believe that women are invited into leadership and pastoring within the church.
